This month we’re going to look closer at some alternatives to FileMaker and compare and contrast. This will be a remote guest presentation by Mike Beargie who works for MainSpring and lives in Ohio.
From this information we will better know how to position FileMaker and answer objections to its relevance. We will also learn a bit about other possible solutions to tech problems that we commonly see. Should be a lively discussion.
Mike is an application developer with MainSpring, a FileMaker Business Alliance Platinum partner and Business Driver of the Year 2013 and 2014. He is a FileMaker 11-13 Certified developer and has worked with the FileMaker Platform for over eight years. He has a formal education in graphic arts and IT management, and a background in web development and high level IT service. In his spare time, he is an avid poster on the FileMaker Community discussion forums, organizes and presents at the local FileMaker user group, COFMUG, in Columbus, Ohio. Mike received the 2014 FileMaker Business Alliance Excellence Award for Community of the Year.
Mike has researched and experimented with several of the most common “alternatives to” the FileMaker platform. He will speak to and show us several of them and compare and contrast their features, structure, and positioning with the FileMaker platform.
